פגש
פָּגַש(b. h.; cmp. פָּגַע) to strike against, meet, v. infra. Nif. נִפְגַּש to meet; to wrestle, fight. Deut. R. s. 11 נִפְגַּשִׁתִּי עם המלאךוכ׳ I wrestled with the angel and defeated him; אתה נִפְגַּשְׁתָּוכ׳ thou didst meet the angel in thy territory; Yalk. ib. 951 פָּגַשְׁתִּי, פָּגַּשְׁתָּ. Hithpa. הִתְפַּגֵּש, Nithpa. נִתְפַּגֵּש same. Deut. R. s. 9; Yalk. Ps. 840. Ylamd. to Gen. 48:1, quot. in Ar. מִתְפַּגֵּש.
